Pain in the urethra after urination

Posted , 5 users are following.

6 days ago I was experiencing pain inside my penis after urinating. I must emphasize that the pain lasts for a few hours and increases until night. Also it never hurts while I am urinating, only afterwards and if I drink enough water I feel like i need to go to the bathroom several times. If I don't experience any other symptoms than that, is it still a UTI? I have not had sex and I am 20 years old. Please tell me if it is something serious.

I was taking Ciprofloxacing 500 mg for 6 days but i´m scared if it isn't necessary, it will develop a bacterial resistance

Did the doctor diagnosed you with UTI? If that's the case, better to follow your doctor's prescription.

sounds like a uti. I would continue taking medication and finish it up. I wouldn’t worry about building up resistance. They have stronger medications if needed. Also, if it continues and he sends me to a urologist, don’t be nervous. I have had things shoved up my you know what more times than you can imagine. It is really mind over matter!

    good luck!
