Pain mainly in one part of body

There seems some uncertainty as to what can cause terrible pain at the top of one arm in the middle of the night and when waking (it eases somewhat during the day)- does PMR usually take affect across the whole body? After 2 years of PMR this is a new development, and I think my good GP is a bit puzzled. More blood tests next week- but in England do puzzling 'cases' like me get referred on sometimes? I'd also like any insight into the pain not being uniform across my muscles any more- Thanks. Happy Christmas!

Here in Toronto Canada it has been a very mild start of winter with 9 degrees C, spring coat and shoes no boats. I love snow but now with PMR effecting my feet I'm grateful not wearing boots and the weathwr for walking. I

Sounds like here - except it's minus 9C overnight! The last few days have been colder in the day too here in the valley - but very spring-like up top.

I had awful foot pain with PMR, it felt like walking on sharp pebbles or broken glass, although it did eventually go away after about 6 months of pred. But I found I had less pain when I wore proper hiking boots which were firmly laced. Since this started pre-pred it was interesting getting them on as I couldn't bend or lift my foot! They were great in winter even at minus 15C if I wore ski socks though.

It was -3c here today at 11am with a crisp white frost. It was even sunny for a while but it has gone now. I had difficulty trying to open the car door but managed and the car eventually thawed out. It was -9c further north and inland. It feels seasonal and I prefer it like this especially if it is sunny.
