has anyone been referred to a pain management clinic? I would love to know what happens on first appointment? Did it help you?

    Hi Kim,

I was referred to the Sid Watkins centre at the Walton Neuro hospital in Liverpool they are very good there and try to help everyone on the course and it is small numbers so you all get the chance to explain your issue.

The staff are really good and try to help you in your path forward.

It is mainly CBT and mindfulness but also takes in a bit of physiotherapy. Mindfulness is not for everyone but if you have a good understanding of it before you go it would be much better

I was referred to a pain management clinic in Florida.  They review your medicine and MRIs and any other test done. They review everything you have had done and make a decision based on your history. I can not take asprin related meds, as I had eye surgery recently (eye hemorrhage) so they factored that in also.   I was a candidate for a cervical sterid injection and had two in a three week time frame..  sFelt horrible just after, flushing, feaver and confuded. Three to five days later I got relief. Three weeks now and most nerve pain is gone.  If this does not work, I am trying for medical cannabis.
