Hi. It's funny but last night 12 post op, we were sitting around the dining table with central heating and a rayburn with everyone stripping off and me in a thick cardigan and slightly shivering . Thought it was an infection but had been to see the nurse previously and everything was great.  I eventually got warm but was in pain at the time and tired as I had missed my afternoon nap.  We really have to look after selves with rest, good nutritious food and exercises and above all every day we get better it seems. So positive thoughts - thinking of you

Phew! I thought it was just me that was freezing to death whilst everyone else cooks! I'm normally feel cooler than others anyway but not to the touch, this week it has been gloriously sunny outside and my daughter and partner have been wearing t shirts around the house as I have the heating on, a hot water bottle, t shirts, jumper blanket and 2 pairs of socks and I'm still cold! Speaking of which, it's time to put the heating on! X

Hi Shelby.  We have all felt the same. Crying is normal. I am 7 weeks post op and still have bad days. It is major surgery and body needs time to heal. Sleeping will get better  I was like you, dreaded going to bed as knew I wouldn't sleep more than couple of hours. I now sleep through so it will happen. Re meds, try cutting down gradually but dont cut out altogether if you feel you still need them. I still take painkillers now and again. Keep going, it will get better I promise xx

Don't cut out the pain meds altogether, cut down a little during the day at first while you are most active but carry on taking them at night before you go to bed.  Don't panic about it, we are all different.  You are only 2 weeks post op and you will start feeling much better as time goes on, another two weeks can make all the difference and after 6 weeks, which seems to be the magic number, you should be feeling better still.  Give it time and patience and you will get there in the end.  Best wishes.
