Pain on left side when sitting 11 days post sub-total hysterectomy and both ovaries removed

Hi I am 11 days post op lapascopic sub total hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries. I'm taking it nice and easy but im finding it painful when sitting up to eat or at a comp desk.pain is always on the left hand side. Is this normal ? X

    I had pain on my right hand side sometimes and I'm 14months post op which I spoke to my consultant about it and he said it was just the muscles knitting back together and mine was like you lapascopic and everything taken away but if you're worried speak to your doctor or consultant  Lyn x

    Hi ..I have pain on my right side ..The doctor told me that in laparoscopic 

    surgery that they use one side to move the organs around and remove them ..Perhaps that is why you are still in pain ..I am 5 days in but it is getting a little better every day ..I cannot sit down and put my socks on but I can stand up and do it ..I can sit at the computer ..I quit taking my 600 motrin ..only when I feel it's necessary..I also had a cystole and rectocle done at the same time ..It just takes time to fully heal on the inside ..remember there are stitches still in there which will dissolve on their own ..I hope this helps..

    Yes it's normal I had the same thing I couldn't sit at the table to eat had to have a small table to eat with my legs stretched out on the sofa also I had shower stool in Bath with hubby brought me so I could sit when showering and hubby giving me a shiwer

    I had a full hysterectomy 9 days ago but I had to be cut and I get severe pains in my left hip not sure if this is right or the right place to post I'm only 34 so don't know if that has anything to do with it

      Yes that's normal I had that and I couldn't sleep on my side had to sleep on back for a few weeks

      Thank you I can sleep on side if I put pillow there its just when I get up or down it hurts

      Yes you will find that I used to walk about and had to keep sitting down even when I went to the supermarket
