Pain on my finger

I was diagnosed with this wonderful condition one month ago. I was given two different creams which have not worked. I went out and bought fungicide and that doesn't work either. When I was 16 I had warts all over my fingers on both hands. I had them pulled off, burnt off and frozen off. Until they finally got the "mother wart" they kept coming. I am wondering if this is the same thing. I started off with one big one and one smaller one. If I could get rid of the big one I wonder if they would stop spreading. Has anyone used compound W freeze off on their granulomas?

Hi Jasmine no these are definitely two separate issues.  I have had GA for 4 years now have tried everything under the sun and there are two options.  Plaquenil which works 100% but will shut down your immune system to some degree OR you can have your dermatologist inject cortisone into the spots as they pop up. Which is what I do now.  That's it sorry no better news. Good luck!

Hi Jasmine I am so sorry you have this .  GA sucks I have tried a lot of things .  But I tried at last resort the eating clean diet.  And it is working but took six months to start to work.  You may want to try diet ,  it's difficult but worth it. The results take time but I can finally wear short sleeves for the first time in three years.  Good luck

Sorry for you.  I can't offer much.  I not only was diagnosed with GA but also Lichen Sclerosis about the same time.  The GP said the GA was self-limiting, no treatment  and basically dismissed me!  I went to a skin specialist who recommended the cortisone injections but said they didn't work long term.  I didn't have a biopsy for the GA.   However, I do believe going gluten free, no grains at all, no wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, rice, buckwheat, millet, etc. is the way to go.  There are so many veggies one can eat.   I believe this helped me so much.  Hope this helps.

Jasmine, Warts are viral if you do your research.  I was diagnosed visually with GA about 2 years ago.  Many, many years ago I went to an alternative person who did blood tests and sent off to the USA (I had psoraisis or eczema) and result came back that I had collagen disease of the dermal type.  I suppose it was  a catch all diagnoses.  Maybe there is treatment today for this in some enlightened circles of medicine, dermatology.
