    Hi !

I use stuff called IXPRIM which is a strong medication made from Tramadol and Paraecetamol. It's addictive. So, it's important to take it only when necessary. Other than that, as you probably know, it's better not to eat when you are experiencing discomfort and pain. Taking digestive enzymes is also a good idea as they supply what the pancreas is deficient in as far as digesting your food is concerned. Grape seed extract and curcumin are also anti-inflammatory. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day is recommended also. Avoiding fatty foods such as steak, lamb, duck, pork and derivatives, cooking oil, butter and other fats are best avoided. Alcohol is out completely. I'm new to this condition and just getting used to eating very sparingly. But, the medications I'm on are strong and make me  sleepy and a bit disorientated. I hope this helps. Good luck and good health!

      Hi Paul !

I think this condition can be depressing and frustrating, but at the same time the stress just adds to it . So, if you could manage to distract yourself from it and keep busy otherwise, then this might help. A great many people beat this condition and as time passes more and more ways of combatting it are found by the medical profession.

I found great relief with Oxycontin, the extended relief. Unfortunately my pain clinic will not prescribe this to me due to the long term affects. I am currently on Oxycodone 10-325 (with Acetomenphin), as needed and this has also helped. The only downfall to it is that it wears off after a few hours and if you have contant pain, you only get temporary relief. Hope this helps and good luck!

i was with pain specialist in the hospital clinic on wednesday,i am finding it very hard to find effective pain relief, they mentioned a procedure where a nerve block is injected into me, but that seems abit extreme...

I was also in pain clinic yesterday and that procedure was presented to me as an option. It sounds minimally invasive and is for long term pain relief. Has anyone tried that? If so what was your experience with it?

is there an exact name for that procedure?? i am seriously considering it.. as long as there is no down side to it,it seems nearly too good to be true, getting the nerve block done and painfree!...just like that?? does it have to be redone after few months? has anyone any info on it please?

He gave me info on 2. The first one is by Boston Scientific and is called Precision Plus. Website is ControlYourPain. The other procedure is a Celiac Plexus Block.

They called the procedure a thoracic block. They put me out for about 30 min. I still had pain. I also had complications after the procedure. Then they wanted to put a stimulator in. But I declined. They want to do the blocks every three weeks. It just didn't work for my pain. U know everybody is different. U might try it u never know. I'm also on Creon. I also watch my diet. It seems like all foods hurt anyway. Its just a cruel disease. Hope this helps! ☺
