I believe around here that is called "Duloxetine" or "Cymbalta".

It normally takes 2 weeks to begin taking effect, and the dose must be slowly increased to minimize side effects. It has antidepressent effects, antianxiety effects, and at higher doses, pain control effects. This makes it a pretty good drug for Fibromyalgia sufferers. It works for some people, and not for others. In some places it's quite expensive and not covered by basic health plans. If it doesn't work for you, or works for a while but then stops working, it's best to tell your doctor so the dose can be dropped down and then stopped, rather than discontinued suddenly. Some people report side effects like headache, weight gain, trembling, dry mouth, etc... others report no side effects at all.

Hi April ,my friend takes it and said it really helped her.

She recommended it to me and said give it 3 months. I've not had it yet but I think I will ask to try it.

      That's good.

I assume no major problems with it then .

Sorry I have lots of questions!

      How much are you taking?

Were you on any antidepressant before?

      Did you have insomnia before?

Were you diagnosed by a Rheumatologist?

Keep me posted, I'm thinking of trying it when I finally get diagnosed x
