Pain right side near belly button and hip pain

Hi

Had CT Scan, Ultrasound and FIT test and another type of stool test , also a number of blood tests and all came back clear.

Been diagnosed with IBS and not sure its correct as im bloated daily and also my lower abdomen feels tight most of the day.

I do not have any issues with the toilet and daily use with no issues apart from sometimes i feel i should have emptied a bit more.

My main issue is been bloated and not sure if i should investigate further as not sure what else i can test for.

To add im not losing weight ( if anything putting weight on) and no blood in stools as check regular with home test kits and also the current FIT test at the doctors

Any advice appreciated

Bloating, tight stomach and incomplete evacuation are IBS symptoms. Feeling you should have emptied your bowel more does count as bowel habit change or issues with going to the toilet. Believe your doctor who is the expert. You have had many negative tests. IBS doesn't show on any scan or test. Try a food diary to see what foods cause bloating.

I have IBS-C and have periodic pain to the right of my belly button. I believe some foods bring on the pain, though I'm still figuring this out. I recommend simethicone for gas, though it doesn't help much (take the max dose once per day) and abdominal massage (you can find lots of videos showing how to do this).

you may have a food intolerance like dairy or wheat or you may not be able to tolerate sugar or sweeteners. Try giving up sugar and alcohol for a week to see if this helps, even fruits and juices. If there is no improvement try cutting out dairy for a week and then wheat if nothing improves after that.

I find deflatine and alverine both help if I am bloated.

hi, i used to think i had ibs and kept cutting food out of my diet. please don't until you're told otherwise, i have discovered i am coeliac so had to cut out gluten - ask to see your doctor then get a dietitian"s referral. you must cut things out WITH support otherwise you could end up with malnutrition. good luck!
