Pain starts inside top lip

This new bout, after a year of remission, seemed to started after the dentist filled a tooth. The pain starts from just inside the right top lip, but not from the teeth, and the pain jumps up the face to the head If I touch the lip , talk or grin. If I squeeze the lip hard the pain seems to diminish for a while. Tegretol, Lyrica, and now Neurotin, doesn't seem to work. The neurologist doesn't believe in balloon or glycerol injection and  reckons it might be a tumour and I'm having a MRI on Friday.

I heavily recommend Lamotrogine it has changed my life.I couldnt live a normal life, i was crying all the time (i am not a cryer) just in so much pain. I could kiss, eat, talk or do any normal acvtivities. Nothing was working and i had all but given up ..

Once you pass the insomnia and dizziness, it is well worth it!

I'm on Lamotrogine as well and I take it with Tegratol and gabapentine

you do get side effects to start with but stick with it and you will find that it's well worth it.
