Pain today over the otp

Today my pain is so bad that I have to sleep for two hours after 2 hours of work.  I was cleaning out our Fifth wheel for a trip.  My joints ache so bad.  An 8 on a scale from 1-10.  I am going to ask for a breakout pain med.  I already take Vicodin and wear a patch of 10 miigram Brutrans.  Hopefully I can get some tramadol or some combination of meds. that will tide me over until I can get to the Rhymotologist. Anyone have any meds. they use for breakout pain.

I know what you are going through, I have been terrible pain for months, I take 2 tramadol and 2 paracetamol together, some days I don't take any my doctor does not want me taking too many, I was taking naproxen but they messed with my stomach and they raise my blood pressure as well. I am wearing a brace at the moment on my right hand the joint between thumb and wrists is very bad. Next month my doctor will start injections in my wrist because I am right handed it affects everything I do. If I do gardening I am in pain all over my body. My sleep is affected every night. My doctor is not referring me to a Rhymatologist I am not sure they can do much for osteoarthritis. The only thing is if my wrist gets to bad I may have to think about surgery. I hope you get some relief soon.

Hi Lyn, I see a dr, surgeon every time I go to the hospital, its wearing. Do yo take the tablets tramadol 38% and the rest is paracetamol?  I was told the other week that its a low dose ????? I take 2 3 times a day.  I wondered why it didn't work too well. I have trouble swallowing it and have found by accident there are at least 3 similar companies do this drug, 2 of which i can swallow. I usually have to have a biscuit or something for me to get it down. Mmm did your dr tell you not to take many because they are dangerous if you DO take too many, my doctor funnily enough said exactly the same thing. I take 1 lyrica with each dose.

    Hi

If its osteoarthritisi once diagnosed it is the GP that takes over. Rheumatologists only deal with people with rheumatoid arthritis .....as far as I know

Make an appt with your GP and talk to him about pain and medicines.

I have oromorph for breakthrough pain {not to be used often]

    Love

    Eileen
