There is a condition called cholecystitis which causes acute inflammation in the gallbladder, pain under ribs and extends to the back and the shoulders. You need an ultrsaound scan or MRI scan to see what is going on in your abdomen. Go to your doc and request one....best wishes...

Thankyou for that Lillian, my drs don't seem to listen they just make notes I've got horrendous pain going right across lower back. My hepologist how ever you spell it is now doing a myeloma screen blood test n I got another fibroscan due is 2 weeks he's just very recently done a free light chains blood test no results yet so I think he waiting for results and then taking it from there the omperazole I'm taking is doing nothing

Hi royalty
Show yur specialist my reply so they can at least check it out..if the pain gets worse don't wait 2 weeks to see your hepologist go to your local A&E ..are you assigned to a Hepologist because of your raised liver levels?...you could have pancreatitis also..that should be checked too...best wishes...

Hi royalty
I know there's nothing worse than not knowing what is going on with our bodies when it os presenting with persitent pain....give the omperazole a bit more time if there is no change call the surgery and tell them it's not working..i know some doctors won't speak to or call back their patients which is annoying then you have to wait weeks for an appt.,...i don't know what part of the world you are..but some doctors surgeries have out of hours surgery you can go to....if you can do that where you are..call and see if a doc there will see you and perhaps give you a script for something else if the omperazole is not working......my best wishes to you...keep us posted....

Our drs surgery is so hard to get an appointment so hard . Yes I'm going to give the omperazole another couple of weeks up to the fibroscan date and if no better I will tell them I think 3 weeks will have given it a chance. Although the hospital a n e did say around 5/7 days you could see improvement I will def persevere, it's a good job I don't work anymore as that would have been an added stress having o explain to a workplace . No we haven't got a walk in medical centre thankyou Lillian yes I will keep u posted
