Pain under ribs

Please help,

I've recently been diagnosed with M.E. My doctor is keen to leave it at that because all my bloods are fine. However I am very worried about the pain under my ribs on the left. sometimes it's up behind the rib cage, sometimes lower and more like a stitch. sometimes the pain is in my side at the floating ribs and it can also be in my back.

I have fatigue and a change in bowel movements and slight weight loss. (stools have been constantly changing, but have now settled and are quite firm and dark, sometimes with floating 'rabbit droppings', that usually float away.).

The doctor thinks that M.E. covers all of my symptoms. But I have had the pain for 4 weeks. Should I pay for a scan? I'm off work and going crazy.
