Painful and frustrating 😢

I have been suffering with painful piles for around 6 months. I’m 28 female.

I visited the GP who prescribed be with Sipositories which relived them somewhat until these ran out. I went back and was referred to a hospital who looked and confirmed I had grade 2 internal piles however not severe enough to warrant further treatment.

I’m here again now in absolute agony, feeling frustrated that I haven’t been offered any further help. It hurts to walk and sit. I told the doctor at the hospital this and even showed him a picture of my bottom when the pile comes out (huge and bright red)- his response was that it’s normal for grade 2 piles. That may be the case, but I’d describe the pain when that happens an 7-8/10 even causing me sleep disruptions.

My diet is good, I’m taking extra fibre (fybogel) and drinking plenty of water.

What do I do now? Go back again?

Its a case of thrombosed piles. You will feel fine in due course but best to have flatly which you may not be able to get over the counter. Sitz baths may help too.

      Thank you.

Yes, they do relieve themselves in a few hours but always come back. I don’t think I can just put up with them each time as it literally gets in the way of me going about normal activities.

Have had a bath, taken pain killers and put one of the sipositories in (Scheriproct). Going to be a rubbish nights sleep this evening.

The frustration is has brought me to tears over the past few weeks ☹️

What do you mean by flatly sorry, Google came up with nothing?

Hi Claire1057 - I am so sorry it must be the autocorrect. I meant flagyl which is an antibiotic. It works wonders. You may not be able to get it over the counter.

You should have asked your doc for a phenol inject. Its effective and can relieve the problem for many years.

It is learnt that a Chinese Ointment known as Maylong Musk does provide some relief in such cases. Pl see its details on google if at all it is worth trying by you. Good luck.

Hi Claire, eat a high fibre diet and drink plenty of water. For pain take given paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. BM fybogel and lactulose. I got these after my operation. My operation was in the UK. Where are you ? I got suppositories from my doctor which helped me but mine got worse as I did not change my diet.

Hi, you could check Essential Oils for Haemorrhoids, info online, Peppermint, Cypress, Frankincense, Tea Tree, these essential oils are used for Haemorrhoids, 2 drops to 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil ratio, sweet almond oil or Jojoba Oil are good carrier oils, you can use these essential oils in combination, when mixed just massage on the area to treat, DON'T take internally.
