painful climax/ejaculations

Im a 43 year old male suffering from very painful climax/ejaculations.

Had recent urological kidney stone removal but the pain has always been an issue before the kidney Stone issue.

Normal erections although I notice they are not as strong and I can't maintain on for as long as usual, sex is fine but I cannot thrust too enthusiastically as this hurts me, but I'm tending to avoid climax which is frustrating.

I've been sterilised so I don't use contraception, I use the withdraw method occasionally and noticed my semen contained traces of blood please help

Your symptoms may very well relate to your vasectomy. It would be interesting to know the relationship in time between your having had a vasectomy and the onset of your ejaculation pain. It would also me worth while inquiring whether your vasectomy was "open ended" or not. I suspect that it may have been a "closed ended" vasectomy.

I had the vastectony in 2001, that's 14 years ago, I've not had any issues until this year, sex has become uncomfortable and it worries me, and its causing issues between me and my wife because I really don't want to do it and try to avoid it.

Ihad a vestomy Nov 12 and have had such pain with climax and ejaculation I couldn't have sex.

Were you warned about the risk of Post Vasectomy Pain Sydrome when you were sterlised (I'm assuming you had vasecomy)? It can hit any time within ten years of procedure. It is lifelong.

It may just by epdidymis related or it may not. I do hope it is not PVP.

You need to see a GP

I had an epididimal cyst and part of right testicle removed in 2013, I have not suffered with any pain from sex, erectiins or ejactulation until may this year, I have seen a gp although nothing has been done or have I been referred to a specialist as yet.

And I was not told about any post vastectony pain, or any possible problems from having such a procedure, do I regret having it done? Until may this year, no. But now? Yes.

My faith in GP's and GPwSI has been sorely tested the last 3 years. Put as little faith in them as possible (many do not recognise PVP etc is an issue) - but use GP to get referals to those that know what they are doing, namely urologists.

An example one GP in practce told me it was all in my head, PVP risk was less than 1%, vasectomy couldn't be related to sex issues etc. At one point refused to refer me to consultant. When I was seen diagnosis was pretty quick and valuable options put on the table including further surgery (which GP had said had no value) with success up to 70%

There is usually a wait period from referral to urologist. Depending on pain level / need for speed you may wish to opt to see one privately. I think the last 30min appt I had cost me £150 for 30 mins. Best money I ever spent.

In other words you will need to push your PGP in the direction you need to go.

This may still not be related to vasectomy, that thought must be maintained until specialists rulke things in or out.

Having a painful ejaculation can be and is soul destroying. Easier said than done I know but just keep hanging in there and hopefully things will improve. Either dramitcally or t the point where you tolerate events.

Well lets see, I've been in a situation last few weeks where the erections are not painful, and sex is fine if its slow and gentle, preferably with me behind the wife, but as I get towards ckinax, I'm having to stop as its just unbearable, my wife is fine and quite supportive, she only gets annoyed when she doesn't climax!!!

Let's see what happens, go appointment this Tuesday

I agree with Ivan, the fact that you have had a vasectomy would mean the pitiurity gland sending the hormones for orgasma ejeculayion, is trying to force the testes to produce semen, through to the prostate gland and ejecaulate.

Since the semen produced is not able to carry the sperm which would get carried withing it since the tested are "disconnected" then, there could be pain.

What concerns me most about your question is that there is blood in the ejacualte. That could be where the severed vas deferens which were cut in the sterilisastion have not healed properly and are leaking blood in to the ejacualte.

Either way you need to see a hospital specialist about this, and the sooner the better.

    Regards
