    Hi Keith,

I've had MD for nearly 2 years, and require intratympanic steroid injections to control symptoms.  But strange you should mention tenderness:  I've recently had a bad case of sinusitis and now a bad cold.  And for the first time, I feel tenderness deep in my ear.  (No burning, though.). I was thinking that this must pressure in my middle ear due to my cold or something.  I've personally, never experienced ear tenderness and burning as part of my MD symptoms - it's always been fullness and pressure, accompanied by various levels of tinnitus.

Sounds like you should have them examined by your ENT.  Perhaps you have an inflammation or infection going?

I wish you the best of luck,

    Sincerely,

    J-

Hi Keith, I have had pain in my ear due to fullness especially when low pressure weather is happening along with ringing. But no burning. It really sounds different. . Perhaps muddle ear instead of inner ear. I would go see a Doctor. You might have an infection. A warm rag on your ear or heat pad might give you a little pain relief until you can get in.
