Hi, I have been suffering with concurrent ear pain for the past month or 2. It feels as if there is water in there and is extremely painful, even to open my mouth to eat. As well as the ear pain im having headaches and pain thats all over the left side of my head and neck.

Hi. I'm so sorry to hear your suffering with this. I could have written this very same post. Have you seen a doctor? if not, I think you definitely need to as it could be an infection that's treatable and first-line of defence to see if it is an infection as only they can see if it is via an ear scope. So definitely do that.

I don't know your age or sex, but I think mine is due to perimenopause and the drying up of the ears, sinuses etc. hormones have a huge impact on ears....causing pain, plugged feeling, tinitus, infections etc....(just a thought for you if you're going through menopause)

Gp said mine is infection and possible eustation tube disfunction. I tried Otomize drops which helped to an extent but still in pain and plugged up deep down in ear with pain when I chew and into jaw....they aren't particularly interested in the perimenopause link.....but its no coincidence.

I fully sympathise and feel for you. it's really distressing and drags you down and you just despair!

Could also be dental related (TMJ etc) so a possible cause you might consider...jaw and ear pain can be caused by jaw joints being inflamed or a tooth issue.

I wish you all the best but definitely see a clinician or practice nurse. It sounds like an infection and instead of suffering you could get it treated.
