Painful legs

I have had the most horrible few days with my legs so painful and cold.  Last night they were in the worst pain I have ever had.   IS THIS MY FIBRO does anyone else experience this.  I ache all over daily and never sleep very well because the pressure of the bed really hurts but  last night was tremendous.  Anyone have any alternative ideas for easing this pain.  I am also struggling with really bad gerd at the moment as I have been put on Alendrolic Acid for Osteoporosis and these have caused a lot of pain in between my shoulder blades and centre of my chest.  Looking forward to hearing from you as you are all so helpful. Thank you and gentle hugs. x

Thank you Mandy for your reply.  My bed resembles the bed in the fairy story The Princess and the Pea.  I have main mattress and two memory foam toppers.  When I am in  none of them help. Hope you manage to get some restful nights soon. x

I have leg aches, too.  Sometimes volterin, a anti inflammatory cream helps.  Sometimes I just have to sit up for an hour in the middle of the night and then try again.  I was given a muscle relaxer called Titanadine that seems to help, not sure, though.

Yes I get incredible painful legs sometimes and arms hands and shoulders. Heat bags /wheat bags/hot water bottles give me the most relief. I have just started having some major chills again so I have gone back to bed with the electric blanket on high. Sometimes it takes me a couple of hours to warm up. I do some muscle stretches too.

For years I have tried to get relief after pain sets in, but just recently I have tried something different. If I do something physical which I know will bring on pain, I have a hot bath before the pain really takes hold, then I do my stretches and use the heat bags, before it gets too bad. I really over exerted myself a couple of times recently, which without fail, would normally have bought on real pain. Both times I had a reasonable night.  I was very surprised, but I will have to test this out a few more times.

I am glad I read this article as I was about to go out and buy an expensive new princess bed. I guess it would not help, so you have saved me some money. Thank you all

I have also have painful legs and they swell up,  I have osteoarthritis (after chemo for breast cancer) and now this fibromyalgia is horrible, it attacks my neck, head and shoulder and chest. I have bad nerve pain on my legs, I try not to take meds but sometimes I have to, I really like ginger turmeric lemon and honey tea or water bc it helps with pain and inflammation, hope you feel better, gentle hugs 🙂
