painful lump above penis

i've noticed a small lump above my penis a few days ago and it didn't hurt when i squeezed it or press it (it was pretty firm tho). but when i woke up this morning it grew bigger and its very painful. i talked to a friend and he said it mightve been me masturbating too much, and i would go away after a few days if i clean properly... so i brushed it off and tried to sleep. but now its midnight and i woke up to a very bad pain to the point where the lump is very very painful if touched or come in any contact with other body parts (i cant even sit properly now) please help me.

    I have something similar. Doctor said it might be a hernia but to keep an eye on it. You should get it checked, i would be curious what they say in case my doctor was wrong
