anyone experience pain during sex. im post menopause and the pain im feeling makes it so unenjoyable

Hi Susan,
I'm not post menopausal but am aware that this can be a symptom of menopause and can be linked to lower estrogen levels. This can cause dryness down below. The vaginal walls can become thinner and dry and shrink which can lead to painful intercourse. Have a read about vaginal atrophy and see if you can relate to this. Treatment is available and can be very effective. I'm sure other ladies who have experienced this will answer and perhaps give some other advice or causes but this could be one reason worth exploring. I would suggest speaking to your doctor and in the meantime try using a lubricant to help with the discomfort. Wishing you all the best.
