Painful small red "pimples" only on hairline, could it be a fungal infection?

So I noticed in the last few days my shampoo (Head and Shoulders Clinical Strength) stopped getting sudsy for whatever reason, and then I had a "zit" on my head, or so I thought. Wasn't out of the ordinary, had them before but not recently. A day went by and it began spreading straight down my hairline!! They are painful almost feels like it's an open wound, sometimes itches, and just tugging on my hair a bit makes it hurt. That's when I noticed my hair brush was getting this orange powder all over it and my hair was orange in it! Considering the clinical strength shampoo was orange, I thought maybe it was that! But several days have passed since I stopped using the shampoo (bought different stuff), AND I bought a new hair brush but when I comb through my hair, I'm still getting this orange hair/powder stuff coming off my head!! My hair doesn't look orange in the mirror and I don't see anything noticeable (my hair is blond so it's hard to tell), but could this possibly be a fungal infection?? The red bumps are still there and it's tender to touch.

I get these little spots from head and shoulder but I don't get the other symptoms.  Hope these get better soon, maybe speak to your GP?

    Hello

I believe you are confusing this and I believe it’s shingles

By the way you described it

The pain and you can even pass your hand through the strands of hair cause it hurts!  Sounds like shingles to me
