Is your car a standard? I have no advice to offer as I haven't driven yet. As a matter of fact I have not driven since July 18!! I'm scared when I do! How was the first time when you drove? LD 🤓

Hi Anna
i'm still having trouble driving after 14 weeks. My car has bucket seats and the side presses against my bum. I now sit on a small bean bag which does help.
we need to remember this is a long term recover op, muscles, nerves, tendons - all have to mend slowly , but if you are worried, speak to your doctor.
Take care, love and hugs xxx

hi anna,
my car is a tiny, low seated Fiat and very challenging even with good hips -
Your body might not be ready yet to drive, so please don't if you can't do an emergency stop - It will come -
I put a cushion on car seat to have back supported - makes the space between body and steering wheel narrower though -
good luck and don't despair -
big warm hug

I do still get the 'sitting on golf balls' feeling occasionally - even after 9 months.
You did the right thing though, let someone else do the driving until it's pain-free, we don't want you crashing into something because of it.
Best wishes
Graham - 🚀💃
