Painless difficulty to empty bladder and abdominal pain.

I've been facing this problem since past 5 months. Difficulty to empty my bladder but no pain at all. The flow of my urine is also fine. At first I thought it was UTI but the doctor confirmed that I am not having UTI. No kidney stones found from the x-ray. During this 5 months period, I had random abdominal (stomach) cramps several times. Can these sympotms be signs to prostate cancer?

I think that's the most likely, but your own doctor should tell you

You are to young to have prostate cancer. You may have a mild infection of the prostate. That can cause what you describe. It can also be an infection in any part of the urinary system. The doctors need to take a urine sample and do a swab. These symptoms can also be caused by dehydration, drink plenty of water and see if it gets a little better. If these things don't figure it out the doctor may have to use a scope to look at the entire urinary system. Hang in there they will figure it out and at your age probably not cancer.

This thing bothers me because my classmate as old as me just passed away a few months ago from prostate cancer. Thanks for the suggestion and advice craig. Will try to do so....

That is really unusual to have Prostate cancer at age 24. If I were you I would not be concerned. I am 47 and have family members that have had prostate cancer and died from it. I am not concerned about my self having it and it is more likely to be cancer at my age. I have symptoms of prostate cancer but it can also be BPH which is much more common.

Okay thank you craig for the supportive opinion. Btw, at my age can it possibly be BPH?

I doubt it as BPH usually starts when we get older. It is a benign enlargment of the prostate. If I had to make a guess then it could be an infection of the prostate or a blockage caused by a wart or growth in the bladder. These are just assumptions on my part and it could be something that no one would think of. The main thing is try not to worry about it, but if it gets to the point where you can't empty your bladder then you need to go to the hospital soon as this can be very bad for your kidneys. Keep us posted as to what is going on.
