Painless Rash / Bumps on Penis Head - Please help!

Posted , 7 users are following.

Hello all,

I have had a rash on my penis for a few months. Sometimes when I have sex with my partner / masturbate it becomes irritated and goes more red.

The only symptoms only seem to be visual, the rash is painless and there is no strange feeling.

Sometimes the skin seems to peel around the areas, shown in the last two pictures. Once again, no pain when this happens.

If anyone knows what this is, has had the same experience, or has any further information, I would be eternally grateful as it has been several months maybe even half a year and it hasn't gone away.

Thank you!

Hello, thank you so much for the response.

I have seen a clinic for it which they stated was balanitis. However, they only saw it via my cellphone's live chat feature since COVID (can't go in)

I used the cream they suggested and no improvement unfortunately.

How long did you use the cream and did you closely follow the instructions - such as applying twice daily for a minimum of 14 days, that kind of stuff?

So that you are aware, most medical professionals will treat you for the most common cause of Balanitis - such as with an antifungal cream, as statistically this is most often the cause.

However, problems such as you describe are not always straight forward to treat - for example you may be constantly exposed to the cause, such as unprotected vaginal and / or anal sex and this is where the problem originates.

However, what can often happen is that the skin is no longer resilient to things that should not cause particular problems such as soap, shower gel, moisturising cream, or potentially, anything, other than water. There could be a combination of both of these kinds of causes and the situation will not resolve itself until all potential sources are removed, therefore allowing the skin to begin the process of repair and healing.

Really, what you need to do is think of anything that is in contact with the distressed skin and where possible remove any POTENTIAL problem by simply applying water ONLY and excluding everything else ......
