Painless red bump of penis shaft for 1 week.

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have had this red lump on the shaft of my penis for a few days now. There is no pain or itch associated with this lump. I did have unprotected sex about a month ago but this does not look like the STD pics I have seen online. A doctor is too expensive for me. can someone please help? anyone have ideas? my anxiety is going crazy.

Yes, a general guide is most symptoms of STD's would show within a few days, but this is not always the case depending on the specifics and potential causes.

Most lumps are not connected with STD's either, but it depends what it looks like. If you can post a clear photo or 2 of it that would be most helpful .....

What you most likely have going on here is a dermatological reaction to something. It does not look like the usual lump or bump you would expect to see in this area, and it certainly does not look like a cyst.

What I would try is if you have some antiseptic cream or liquid antiseptic to hand try a little on this and see how it reacts. For the liquid you would need a tiny drop and rub it into this and the surrounding area once a day, it may sting to begin with. With a cream version you could apply that twice a day.

The essential is you are looking for a reaction, if this is a dermatological issue the antiseptic may make it worse, if this occurs we can start to look at the potential causes of why this has appeared in the first place ......

Thanks for your response. Judging from the pictures you would say that it doesn't look like a STD, would you?

It's strange, because it didn't hurt at all for the first week for so then it felt like it was burning and today so far I can't feel any uncomfortable feeling. I can easily get some antiseptic cream. If I get the cream and apply it twice a day, it should eventually help if this is the issue? Thanks

      Update...

I just put antiseptic cream on and it didn't burn or anything. Is this good or bad?

yes, this is a good reaction. What you need to do is to apply it for up to 6 or 7 days and see what happens. You are looking for reactions, good or bad.

As I initially said, this looks more like a dermatological reaction. You are currently sexually active? If you feel you have put yourself at risk with unprotected sex, then go get tested, that is the only way to address issues such as this.

I am just looking for an explanation why this occurred, but do you use a C** k Ring or something else that helps you maintain and erection?

Okay, the burning feeling feels like its mostly gone now after a few days. i will continue to apply the cream and see if it helps. the bump today seems to be a little smaller as well. strange. it started out red color, but then turned more skin/pink as the days went by.

I did have unprotected sex once, but ive known this person for years and cant see how its possible. i didnt use anythink like a ring. however- i was really drunk and remember the sex was rigorous and lasted for a while- then i noticed this bump. could this be related?

So with the bump, the damaged skin on the reddened background suggests there was pressure applied to the area, but there has also been a dermatological reaction to whatever has taken place. So while it could be related to the sexual activity, the reaction to this would normally be most distinct the following day.

Just checking again: do you have any skin issues elsewhere on your body such as psoriasis or eczema?
