      Hi

many users have commented on the side effects of amilodipine and this alone can give joint pains which rotate round the body, knees, elbows shoulder . The jaw would be a numbing of the nerves on that side. Comined with ramiprill or lisonprill anything can happen. The former led me into loss of appetite and depression after 10 days but I am over twice your age and can get grumpy and critical about the fools who are running this country -- or not. if you can come off the comfort foods with pastry and sugar and eat more things like low cal coldslaws, bought or made by yourself you will experience a natural pick up and energy to do things. That was my experience any way. Walking up 1 in 4 hills became a possibility. Look at your body mass index and concentrate on that, tough, but necessary.

      best wishes and keep smiling

I am presuming that the tablets you are on are to controlling high blood pressure and that maybe you think your headache and jaw pain are a side effect. However what I do not understand is why you are scared - what do you think might be the problem. Sometimes naming the fear takes the sting out of it.  Of course, your weight will not be helping but I am sure you already know that.

Ceehoney, if you have only recently started taking some or all of the blood pressure drugs, your headache may be caused by one of the pills.  Worrying will cause stress to your body and that is the last thing that you want, so do go and see your GP to report your symptoms and let him make the decisions.  Good luck and do let us know how you get on.

PS  I meant to add that should your symptoms worsen, then don't hesitate to dial 999 for an amublance.
