I can understand how you're feeling. I've been getting the horrible pains in neck, shoulder and across my chest too. I've also become highly emotional. I'm 46 and for the last few days I've been in a lot of pain with my neck and shoulders.

I totally understand, its very upsetting. I have been dealing with chest tightness, palpations since March 2018 off and on, my doctor said its anxiety. I did not have anxiety issues until menopause and I am not willing to take the anxiety medication (yet) trying to manage with breathing through, listing to water sounds, and taking magnesium. I am 50 now not had a cycle for almost two years. Issues have not stopped but trying to manage. Menopause is not going away so trying to deal. I miss when my body didn't hurt, neck shoulders seem to be common pain areas. Also find the more i worry and fret the more pain. something else not so fun is nasal congestion sinus pain. I try and remind myself one day this has to end ! hopefully soon.

You're not alone! I have heart valve issues and tachycardia and on medication for it, but add in this menopause hell and it's got me all messed up. I passed out and my neighbor called the ambulance, my ekg was all over the place so I landed in the emergency room last Monday, got every test known to man, apparently I had a "cardiac event" but not a heart attack. I'm now wearing a heart monitor for the next 2 weeks.. as I'm typing this the hot flashes and heart palpitations are so intense my anxiety is in high gear and giving me a horrible headache. When I followed up with my cardiologist on Wed I asked him if hormones can cause the ramped up symptoms I have with my heart and he said yes.. I can't take hormones bc of my history with fibroid tumors which caused me to have a hysterectomy (but kept my ovaries) in my very early 30s, I'm 52 now, plus family history of breast cancer. I've dealt with an anxiety and panic disorder since my early 20s and take meds for that too but this menopause crap just makes it all worse. And apparently there's nothing I can do about it since my risk factors are so high.
I'm so sorry you're going through this!! I have no answers to help but wanted to reassure you that you're not alone. I'd suggest getting a good check up to put your mind at ease that everything is ok and go from there and see what they can do for you.
Good Luck and deep breaths!
