Got a stinking colds as wee as the fibromyalgia at the minute. Last night I was awake most of the night with throbbing pains starting in my knees and down my calves. Taken cocodamol and naproxen. Pain eased but feeling very tired and achy. Any other tips

I don't know why but Tonic water with lemon helps my calves, so does a Raljex Spray or a heated massager I've had for years. It is awful not getting enough sleep, hope you sleep well tonight. confused

Shelagh, it's the quinine in the tonic water that helps. My dr offered me quinine tablets but I prefer the gin and tonic, I mean the tonic... Wish I could drink the gin maybe that would help with the pain and sleeping. Take care x

Tonic water contains quinine which is great for those that suffer cramps and has far less side affects than the quinine tablets

Sorry I do know about the quinine, had an awful brain day yesterday, couldn't remember the names of people and things, kept forgetting what I was doing, I'm hoping you all have the same problem? I dont really mean that I want you to have it just that I'm not the only one lol. This morning the body's weak but the brain is a bit better. All the major supermarkets do  a tonic water with lemon, not as good as Gin but I'm guessing none of us can have the Gin. Asda do the best one then Morrisons and last Tesco, however if you like really bitter things it's the other way round. Have a great day everyone, I'm going to try to sleep, I've been up since 2am due to the pain in my hands.

Might try the tonic water. Had a bit better night last night but fell asleep on the sofa after having a roast dinner so been up with heartburn and reflux since 5am. Oh well. Hope you get some rest.

You need to rest too!! For heartburn/indigestion Tesco do a fantastic liquid, cheaper than the usual brands and works quicker. For a homeopathic cure try ginger syrup in hot water, works wonders!

    try and rest today's!

    Shelagh
