Palpitations

Hello all,  Had a bit of a scare last evening, I have GCA/PMR since 2012

had a few blips on the way that most people have with that condition.

Had excellent help on my last flare up problem, which Eileen suggested I may be dehydrated, and being on holiday I think I was, drank lots of wAter and felt sooo much better,

Anyway, (still on hols)  had a lovely day out sightseeing no less tiring than anything I normally do , felt great all day, got back in the evening, had a cup of tea (only 3rd during the day and 1 coffee) which I normally have,

but relaxing with my tea, suddenly these palpitations started, quite sort of pounding ones, that went on for about 40 mins  quite scary.

I am on 4 Pred a day ' take BP tablets for about 10 years (which is white coat syndrome) at home it's normal, but at the surgery it  shoots up. Also a disposable aspirin.

Slept ok and feel ok this morning. I am home next week so will chk it all out, but does anyone else get palpitations?

JR.

Ive sufferedfrom ectopic beats and svt since 2009. My story is complicated but just to say i opened a closed face book group and we are now well on the way to 3K people.

Taking pred caused me no more and in fact the have been less

....althogh high doses could cause them my guess is that there may be another cause. Mine and 70% (at least) of the people in my group feel theres stem from stoach and acid issues. By tacking that, mine have virtually gone...if I eat the wring thing back they come. I have pleny of info should anyone want them...my guess is that pred van cause stomacg issues. I cannot take a PPI so treated my stomach by eating more alkaline and eating a peeled apple 10 mins before all main meals..should anyone want some info, please pm me.

Just don't do what my neighbour did! She had a pile of towels in her arms for folding but got distracted by something on TV, leant on the high sofa back and fell asleep! Toppled backwards and hit the back of her head on the wall behind her. A rather sheepish husband rang me "Would I take (his wife) to A&E"...
