ive had anxiety for years including racing heart and normal symptoms you get everyday.. but the past two years have been more than i can handle .. and about a week 1/2 ago i started getting palpitations almost everyday.. in my neck and upper chest/neck area.. when i lay down my right side of neck gets palpiations and im always feeling my heart beat strong... idk if something is wrong or its just too much stress and worry caused it and now its worse.. i went to ER and they did EKG and bloodwork and its normal.. for me things got worse after covid.. the first time i got it .. i feel way out of breath now.. and i didnt even have breathing issues with covid until after . but lungs were normal and its anxiety im assuming... does anybody else stress enougg yo get palpitations everyday? im so depressed i just wanna get back to normal again and i also get headaches.. more tension type.. numb in hands.. dizzy.. unbalanced at times.. SOB.. weird pain in face like pins and needle in face then pain.. and so on... but right now its the palpitations bothering me and i was wondering if anybody else has felt it the same in neck and almost everyday

I can definitely get them every day but I learned how to slow them down with proper breathing and meditation. I also have to change my way of thinking and not let it bother me as much even though it’s annoying. It’s basically just the adrenaline that is released. I don’t even have to be anxious to have that happen but sometimes it just does. Often leaves me with pressure in the head. I’ve had anxiety since I was a child but the symptoms came in my late 20s. I’m now in my 60s and seems like there’s no end that’s why I try not to freak out and enjoy my life as much as I can. I do stay away from caffeine . Exercise does help to relax my heart rate and I do that around four times a week. doctors can’t do much for this other than prescribe medication. To me that’s just a Band-Aid. Try doing some of the meditations on YouTube for anxiety it will at least relieve you in the moment and check out the breathing exercises for anxiety. message me anytime

Jan when you say racing heart do you mean a high heart rate? As im going through this now. About 3 days ago i had a migrain took meds started to feel very anxious and had a minnie panic attack. Next morning i woke with racing heart and its been that way since . My normal resting heart rate is normally around 68 to 74 ish but last 2 days its been in the 90s and seems to calm more at night when i lay down to relax. I will say i was contemplating on going to er. But had an ekg and bloods about a month ago and all was good. I will say i still feel very anxious and keep checking my pulse on my oximintor. Im not really feeling palps just racy heart anxious internal tremores from time to time when im anxiouse. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also have gerd with my stomach and am in a flare up right now as well

yes palpitations is the same as a racing heart., high heart rate . with anxiety it’s caused by an increase in adrenaline. It’s the fight or flight response. That’s what anxiety is all about. a heart rate in the 90s is not that high. it wont hurt you. there are people with anxiety whose heart rate goes well above 110, 120 range.
The internal tremors are common with anxiety. I think I’ve had every possible sensation you can have with anxiety and I’m OK.
my advice would be to stop constantly checking your pulse because that will create more anxiety and sensations. When we tell ourselves that something is wrong, the brain actually believes that so more adrenaline is released which causes more sensations. The main thing to do is relax your mind as much as you can and your heart rate will reduce. The one way to do that is listening to a meditation on YouTube for breathing during anxiety. That is the key to reducing the heart rate! if you’re not breathing right then anxiety will not reduce and the heart rate will stay up.
there’s also great meditations on YouTube for anxiety that completely relax me to the point where I fall asleep.
Keep in mind that whatever we think whether it’s positive or negative, it will grow! The main thing that determines our level of anxiety is our thoughts.
try not to overthink. Stay busy doing other things. Relax your mind. Smile. Enjoy the company of others. Laughter is a great way to reduce anxiety. Focus on things like that. And remember to breathe! Long and slow. Private message me anytime
