Palpitations and feel horrible.

I suffer from palpitations and ectopic beats but today I had a very very strong flutter/strange feeling in my chest and now I feel tired and weak and crap.

I'm so worried :-(

I was only thinking an hour before t happened that I hadn't had one today then boom I had one an hour later.

Could it be my heart? In scared it's going to stop

I have been through this before. In my experience, it wasn't my heart. However, it's best to see a doctor and rule out any underlying issues.

I've been to the doctor before when I had them, I've had loads of Ecg's which have come back normal, I had a holter monitor a few years ago and I'm on the waiting list for another one. Just so scared it my heart :-(

It sounds like you are being proactive. I had EKGs done and a full blood screen. After that, I realized there was nothing actually wrong for me. And you see... Anxiety is benign. It's scary, but it's not dangerous. And I like to remind myself of that when things are going out of control. It's like an overly sensitive car alarm that reacts to things that aren't actually danger.

The checks I've had are numerous Ecg's and holter and omron heart beat monitors.

My last ecg was about 3/4 months ago.

The feeling is a strong flutter maybe not sure how to describe it, in chest that takes my breath away.

I also have ectopic beats every day maybe about 20/30!

Well if your doctor has ruled out any health problems, it sounds like it could be anxiety. And it sounds like you are very self-monitoring. It can be scary, but maybe your doctor can give you something to help with anxiety, and you might grind he problem goes away.

Hi there I wld think 20-30 ectopic beats are not a lot? For about 5 weeks I've had them more than 10 a minute! Every minute of every day with a constantly racing heart. I'm phobic about all things medical so wouldn't see the doc until the vagus nerve came into play and my heart would slow down to under 50 beats a minute. Long story short I saw doc who immediately sent me for eg which came back abnormal. I've now to go for holter monitor for 24 hrs, treadmill test and an echocardiogram! Panic is not the word! I believe though that acute anxiety can cause the symtoms I am having so trying to not get too worked up! Any words of reassurance from anyone would be more than welcome. E.

      Hi there

All I can say is I've got through it before, so once I get my meds and my head sorted I'll get through it again, have good and bad days.

We have to keep positive, and yes I know it's hard.

Keep strong, we are not on our own.

      Best wishes ☺

Yea I think I'm going to ask for meds cus if it is anxiety I can't go on like this. I have tietzies syndrome so I also have a lot of chest pain. The palps/flutters come without warning while I'm completely relaxed.

I'm still under investigation with the cardiologist but I still think it's me heart as my pulse can be 62 and jump to 100 so quickly :-(

    Hi there

Don't worry, I am having palpitations as we speak and I also have eptopic heart beats.

It is anxiety and it is horrible, try some slow breathing and see your doctor for some meds to calm you down.

It is anxiety and panic attacks and we have to help ourselves by thinking positive, but hey easier said than done, I'm having a really bad day here.

But I do hope you feel better soon. ☺

Ohh no poor you :-( it's horrible isn't it, Im having a really bad couple of week. I hardly get them when I'm trying to sleep, I seem to get them when I'm working or watching TV 😳 very strange as in occupied.

Yes I think I'm going to have to see the doc for help as I can't take it. There so horrible, how can anxiety make your heart do these things?

      Yeah it's rotten

I try and keep myself busy, but they're there all the time, feels like your heart will burst.

I love to sleep coz I don't get them, but as soon as you wake up they're there again, and I take so many pills for anxiety depression etc.

Let's hope that we both get rid of this he'll soon x☺

Yes I sleep so well also but as soon as I wake up I get them, I don't have a lot of ectopic compared to some ppl only about 20/30 a day, but I get a strange feeling in my throat, like a flutter/fullness/wave kinda feeling all day :-(

It sucks big time!! I won't be seen by a cardiologist until mid August for a holter monitor either so frustrating as I prob won't get them the. I wear it
