Im 32 yo female, 3 kids, happily married, with wonderful job, my life is soooo good!! Soooo Why during the pregnancy of my 3rd (there was alot if stress at this time, selling house, buying a house, time frames, changing positions at work, etc) I was having these heart flutters randomly...told my OB and she said see a cardiologist...I told her I have had a random flutter here or there usually during a panic attack. Come to find out after EKG, ECHO, and 24 hr holter monitor, that there were PVCs happening not alot, but definitely showed up......Dr. told me your fine! However I have had these flutters/palpitations/PVCs almost everyday, some a stronger than others, and some are barely noticable. The other night it last so long that my husband laid his head on my chest and could hear my heart beibg crazy. Im going to go back to Dr., Im a mess all day everyday thinking Im going to go into cardiac arrest if it happens. Please help, feed back, suggestions!!!

Hi guys! I have just joined this forum today. I have had PVC (and rarely PAC) for over 5.5 years now since in my mid-30's. They come and go, but due to my new job, on top of my one other job plus class, these little devils have been increasing in frequency. I think mine is stress/grief/PTSD related because i never had this many before that. I take magnesium Taurate+Glyinate (totaling about 150-225mg) per day, watch my diet better, consume more potassium in my diets, and I walk everyday (at least 30 minutes per day). I was prescribed 25mg Atenolol as needed, so sometimes I take half of it when it is really bad. I just wish the medical community/professionals would take this matter seriously! so sick and tired of these!!

Hi, I have frequent PVCs too and a small child as well. I get how much worse it is when you are a mom...have you found any relief? What kind of testing have you had done? I think stress and reflux are the main sources for me.

hi all
ive just joined this forum after finding it on google looking for people with the same issue.
i live in the UK so its not as easy to just ask to see a cardiologist. for 6 years i have had what feels likr a flutter in ny chest and for 6 years ive beenntold its anxiety. but ive convinced myself for years it feels like my heart. ive had ecgs and blood tests done so many times and all come back normal.
i finally picked up what was happening on my apple watch and send it to the doctor and was told its premature ectopic beats. my main concern is for 6 years they have been rare and mild and easier to ignore. but for the last week and a half they have been every single day all day and its difficult to get ti sleep difficult to relax. been told they are benign and nothing else can be done. it is worth being referred to cardiology privately? do i just live with them? its affecting my life and stops me from socialising. they drive me insane. it is reassuring reading everyones comments though and that im not alone

I'm in the same uk boat . 12 months for a cardiology appointment. 7 day ECG and Echo done in July that my gp asked to see 26000 pvc over7 days. heart is looking ok. Not to worry.
getting more of late and feeling a bit light headed. To just talk to a cardiologist and know what is "normal" for this condition would be such a luxury and help with anxoety. I'm so fed up with it all . its stopping me too from doing stuff coz I'm always worrying . hope your problems have subsided and you're getting some answers.

Death happens at any moment, this is why its best to enjoy life, but at the same time invest in spirituality for the possible afterlife. I am glad you are enjoying your life. God bless.

I've had the exact same PVC's symptoms you have mentioned. I'm 64 years old, and started having them at 40.
I have now started having Anxiety issues, which make them worse.
My PVC episode usually start at night and get worse because I'm alone.
All my doctors tell me that I'm fine and will be alright. But, when you are having them, it is a bit scary. My doctor has now given me a low dose of xanax, and I try not to take it. But, it does help take the edge off.
But, I only use it when the PVC's are really active. Xanax can be addictive.
Hang in there. Try not to think about it. You'll get through it.

Mine started around 40 too. Have you had a monitor to see frequency? I should have stopped at the echo and EKGs since the monitor made me stressed itself and that made them go crazy.

Good evening,
I am currently 26 years old and have been dealing with PVCs since i was 19. Very scary. I constantly live in fear and cant enjoy most of anything without it being in the back of my head. I just had my first kid 4 months ago and my biggest fear is leaving this earth and him living his whole life without his momma. i get sad and hold him closer sometimes, telling him how much i love him because i fear so much. i have seen multiple cardiologists and have been to the ER numerous times, all to be told its benign and all is OK. As much as i have heard that, its still so hard to believe them because of how scary it all feels. I have even changed my diet so much to a heart healthy diet as much as i can. i constantly look at nutrition facts on the back of everything before consuming to watch my sodium, cholesterol and added sugars intake. All of those things can contribute to PVCs as well and have noticed them go away drastically until recently but i think its stressed induced this time. i hope this helps knowing we are all in this together!

Having these with small kids takes it to a whole new level. Mine were not so bad a year ago but the anxiety of them at all I think really made them so much worse. Wanting to stick around for the kids, youngest is 4 today, really makes the anxiety go crazy. Trying to find ways to distract myself. No gluten, sugar, numerous supplements.
This page is helping me to keep it together, got a call that I need to see a specialist due to frequency of pvcs, which were really triggered by anxiety and exhaustion I am sure...I have had a normal echo and 2 normal EKGs. The day I had the monitor was one of the worst I've had, of course. Great timing.

Attention everyone: Got my Zio Irhythym monitor report back from my doc. The way I felt wearing it all week made me think that when the report came back I would need a transplant. The skips, flips, pvc's pac's and a few slight runs of tachycardia , gave me terrible anxiety. Report: the same, no real concern. The skips, flips, tachycardia. slow, fast...what the Hell. After all this they give you nothing... I am glad this monitor found nothing serious, however we all need some kind of relief . Lord help us all...

Glad they didn't find anything serious, but a bad week of symptoms is considered "no real concern?" I'm not sure why that is supposed to be comforting. I'm working on enjoying the moments of peace from the irregularities. I hope you have the chance to enjoy some peace soon.

thanks for the reply...last night i went to sleep and was awoken an hour later by harder type of thuds, two hard beats, pause, bi geminy pattern.. i moved up and slept on pillows and it helped some...but what i was also noticed was constant belching up stomach contents...cat knapped, til this morning...going to try to get an appointment with GI tomorrow....i have GERD, and a Hiatus Hernia which may be causing this bout of palpitations to be so different from those of the past...very glad yours have subsided...and anxiety is a big part of not only Pvcs but sleep interruptions....thanks for replying and thanks for this forum...
you have a nice day and evening....

hey! i started having these about 3 years ago. but recently they have gotten worse at night. i use to just have a thud in my chest but now there is lightheadedness associated. i tried magnesium oxide and man it worked so well they would stop immediately but after taking it 4 days i started to get lightheaded all day and feel dizzy so i stopped.
recently they have gotten a little better. i dont have the palpatations as much but still that infamous pause......thud....
whats bothering me the most is i dont sleep. im getting an average of 4-5 hours a night. I am a paramedic so my job is high stress and i also see what cardiac issuses can do so that scares me. I just dont want to die young and want to live a fruitful life and sleep again.

i get the light headedness and i wonder why . ive been having ectopics for 2 years and the thick head is a relatvely recent thing but sometimes all day, Sleep is a bugger.its what you need but can be so elusive when the old anxiety kicks in. I take magnesium taurate. You do see too much as a paramedic. My son is one. Will occupational health offer you some talking therapy. it can help the anxiety associated with your stressful job? That in turn might reduce these ectopics
