Pancreatic Cancer - terrified I have it

I am 52 and female.  I’ve been having Epigastric pain for a few weeks.  I also suffer from health anxiety.  Since December 2016 I’ve had an abdominal ultrasound, 2 CT’s an endoscopy and just had an. MRCP.  The only finding is a dilated common bile duct.  My GI now wants me to have an endoscopic ultrasound to rule out Pancreatic Cancer once and for all.  He said he doesn’t think i have it and is being very cautious but I’m beyond freaking out.

i am terrified I have PC.  My bloodwork is normal.  Other than the Epigastric pain and the dilated bile duct I do not have any other symptoms but something is causing my pain.  Liver, gall bladder, spleen and pancreas all look normal on all of my tests.

please help....should i have the next test?  My primary care doctor says it is not necessary.  I am scared and so worried.

Do the Endoscopy ultrasound it it the most reliable test there is. All my CT and MRI were all normal, but those test can,t see the inside workings of the pancreas. I had one  done on the 9th February, and it verified chronic pancreatitis which all other blood work  and imaging did not find.

    Good luck and take care.

Hi I am in the same position as you I was diagnosed with a dilated bile duct, as I presented with pain under my ribs going through to my back. I do have a bloated feeling after eating. I was fast tracked to the hospital Endoscopy, CT, MRCP all normal and normal bloods. I have not lost any weight. But I still have the pain especially in my back, which my consultant told me is associated with the pancreas!! That was all six months ago, even my bra causes discomfort.  I am constipated so the consultant sent me for a colonoscopy but all normal., he sent me a letter stating this but on the end of it he put wait and see!  like yourself  am convinced I have PC, but were do we go from here. I cant sleep I am out of my mind with worry. Oh and I stopped drinking 6 months ago, only social drink anyway, and I try and watch what I eat but nothing makes a difference. So is it normal ,

My ENDO ultrasound was normal.  Phew.  However I’m still in pain with no answers other than Costochondritis which I don’t think explains my abdominal pain.  I have no life and no answers.  I’m losing hope i will ever be well again.
