Pancreatic cyst

I have been having symptoms for some time now. A few weeks ago a cyst was found on my pancreas via CT scan. It has been determined that a biopsy is too risky. I would just like to hear about other people who may have benign cysts. I see a pancreatic specialist next week, but the waiting is killing me. Also, I keep reading that benign pancreatic cysts are usually caused by pancreatitis. I don't think I've ever had this, anyone else have benign cysts without pancreatitis? Thank you so much.

After a MRI for prostate, a cyst was found 1mm in diameter in the pancreas. Yes I am nervous. They did not want to do anything because of the small size, but the American Gastroenterology recommends a repeat scan in 1-2 years. Yes it is making me nervous and yes I am worried because 50% can be malignant. My doctor says no one would biopsy it. So just wait. I do not have any advice.

A friend was recommend he  have a biopsy. A biopsy is done at the same time as an endoscopic ultrasound. To perform this procedure, we insert a thin needle into an endoscope and use ultrasound images to guide the needle into the cyst and remove fluid and cells. No surgery necessary. In and out same day.
