Pancreatitis??? Need help from the experts!

Looking for advice/insight. Last week I noticed I was becoming extremely distended in my upper abdomen. It felt like massive pressure like I was pregnant! It didnt go away and became even greater with eating.
It is accompanied with some pain with the feeling of being bloated but the most notable other symptom has been extreme constipation.
I didnt poop for 3 days almost, then finally with laxative and stool softener combined with coffee I went.
With the onset of symptoms i basically have stopped eating most everything. And just drinking water.
No pain anywhere else. No nausea. No vomiting.
Background is I was pretty healthy 31 year old male. Active. Big drinker the last 3 to 5 years. 4 to 8 shots of liquor per night.
I did have labs done 45 days ago and sonogram of my liver (not relatingto this) and everything looked good.
Unfortunately my lack of food intake and diet change doesnt seem to be making an impact yet. Im still bloated and dont poop!
Let me know if you have thoughts, and thanks!

The quickest and most reliable way to find out what's happening is to see your doctor. Regards and good luck..

She ordered an xray and lab work both of which i performed and she made a follow up appointment with me in 3 weeks!
When i commented that i thought the situation was more serious she was a little rude.
Overall not a good experience. Thus trying to educate myself.
Thanks for the advice though

A few suggestions whilst you wait for your next appointment, and remember if results come back showing something dodgy doc's usually contact you before your next appointment date.
Ok, so if you get bad abdo pain (and I mean nasty) go to the ER and tell them you're being checked for Pancreatitis. Eat small meals more often, easily digestible foods, not large meals 3 times a day like we're used to doing. The bloat may continue so don't expect miracles with that. Constipation isn't usually a problem the reverse is true more often actually. Stop the alcohol, and cigs if you smoke, no debate about either of those two bad boys! See how you go until your next appointment. Regards

I am not a smoker and I quit drinking cold turkey 7 days ago when I knew something very bad was happening.
I just wish I could gain quicker traction and I dont like waiting around in pain especially if if the problem could be getting worse without medical treatment.
It frustrates me that I have to read on the internet to self diagnose!
Any tips on moving things?
I got blood work back and ALL my levels were basically in order especially lipas = 15
amylase = 35
Also I do plan to change my diet, but for now I am not sure it is healthy to even eat???
