Pancreatitis or something else?

I am a healthy 20 year old male, I don't drink or smoke. I have never had any major health issues. The last month or so I have had occasional discomfort in my stomach after eating with some nausea. I went to the doctor 3 days ago and got my blood tested and got a call to come back because my pancreas levels were very high. Now im not 100% sure if I fasted for that blood test because its possible that I ate greasy food before my blood was taken which could have been the reason my numbers were so high. He told me he needed to see an ultra sound of my abdomen immediately but because of my health insurance I have to wait a week. He told me since that is the case he will do a complete blood test 1 more time since I fasted that morning and if the numbers are still as high as they were that he would send me to urgent care to get imaging. However he called me back the same day and said that all my blood levels were normal and the pancreas levels dropped dramatically in the normal range. I still have discomfort and stomach pain so I am waiting for the ultra sound next week to see if there is any gallstones. I have been very anxious lately thinking I am developing a chronic condition but I don't really feel any pain in the pancreas area its more towards the center and right side( which I have gotten my appendix removed). I have been having diahhera and some nausea since yesterday but I have also been pretty nervous thinking my pancreas will flare up again. I guess I will just have to wait for the ultrasound to see how things go.

Chronic Pancreatitis is very rare. In most cases the origin of the problem is alcohol, smoking and stones. Autoimmune pancreatitis is not as prevalent but it does happen. Be proactive and have your GI look at that pancreas. If you are not in severe pain, calm down, no need to panic.
