Pancreatitis pain

Can anyone tell me if Pancreatic pain can be felt if you love e on your left side? Sometimes when I'm in bed and lying on my left side it's painful. If I lie on my back the pain is worse. I have also developed oily bowel movements that sometimes float. I have had 3 Amylase blood test before with slightly raised results but nothing was done. I am now due another one and if it is not normal I am going to demand something is done as I have too many symptoms to be ignored.

Pancreatitis is not that fussy who it chooses. There must of been eighteen or more patients I meet, with various stages of Pancreatitis while in hospital. Just before surgery I overheard one of the surgeons saying I was another victim of Statins. Which were abruptly stopped. After a dose of Sepsis amongst other stuff. I'm on the slow road to recovery. Seems there is quite a few reasons why people get Pancreatitis. The NHS recorded 35,000 with the condition between 2012-13. I guess in some ways I'm lucky with moderate to no pain? I'm really careful with my diet. I can always call on my dietician. I've gone from 37kg to 47kg, finding a balance is essential, my body soon tells me what it can tolerate. Symptoms are very up and down. Exercise is important as well...btw scans and blood tests should reveal Pancreatitis. take care
