    Hi Tamsin

I think this up and down feeling is common. I had one night this week where I had repeated panic attacks after three or four weeks feeling more normal after increasing my dosage. I was really scared as doc said I shouldn't still be feeling this way as I've only upped my dosage not started from scratch. Now all those old feelings of I'll never shake this off have come flooding back. I guess it's important not to punish ourselves more but just to go with the flow. xx

      Hi

Six weeks yesterday not that I'm counting!! Definitely better bits but just want to even out properly! Still get quite a lot of social anxiety especially in new situations. No more tears though so that's a step in the right direction x

hey x your doc is definitely wrong lol x 6 weeks is still really early I'm really sorry but memory is terrible x what dose are you on again 😓 x

I upped to 30mg a few weeks ago and like you I haven't cried either x I've wanted too at times don't get me wrong but you're right that's definitely a positive.

it's hard not to count the minutes, hours days and weeks isnt it 😅

      I'm glad you're seeing a little improvement that's definitely a good sign.

I find I hold it together well in social situations can smile and pretend I'm fine but as soon as I step away it hits me like a ton of bricks. by social situations I mean talking to the person behind the checkout at a shop lol x haven't been able to do much more than that yet.

but yeah definitely give it a lot longer than 6 weeks x some people take longer. I saw someone yesterday who was like 3 weeks on citalopram and I feel amazing! pfffffft! no fair!

Same happened to be a few nights ago after being on 40mg for 4 weeks.

Just in my bed relaxing, watching some YouTube on my phone, then a panic attack out of no where.

Doctor told me not to worry too much about it. Sometimes these things just happen, but it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen all the time. So I’m trying not to let it get to me so much compared to the last time I had one, and I actually don’t feel too bad about it. Had to start taking zopiclone or Ativan the past three nights to calm down before bed but I’m trying not to worry too much about that. Might keep taking it till the holidays is over so things are less stressful.

thanks nina - im trying to rationalise it but its hard not to think all the whatifs. ive gone up 5mg so i dont think it can have too many side effects. probably more likely to be stress and too much wine. im tapering down off my lorazepam too. im trying not to feel defeated by it.

remember lovely you've recently increased that's definitely gonna play a big part in it x your body needs time to get used to the new dose. it happened to me too when I increased after about a week or so x

thanks P - its only 5mg tho so im thinking there probably wouldnt be too many side effects?

yeah true but 5mg you'll be surprised x because you're already on edge and anxious anyway the increased anxiety will still hit you more than normal x if you were a lot more settled then it would be easier x

also it might not be the increase it could just be one of them s****y days bless you. let us know how you are though pretty please and fingers crossed it was a one off x 😊
