Panic Attack & Anxiety, who should I see?

Hi all, new to this site. After 6+ years of low dose Lexapro daily my panic attacks and anxiety have become fairly bad over the past few months. I have two questions: 1) is there a 24/7 free phone line for support anyone is aware of? 2) I have lined up a psych eval and a CBT appointment, does that sound like good 1st steps?

Thank you!

those are good steps. if its a psychiatrist you are seeing, keep on mind they usually focus more on medication than therapy. so glad you are getting cbt stay with a therapist who can help with anxiety management. i dont know of a 24/7 line for anxiety, only know of one for suicidal ideation‘s.

take one day at a time. if you struggle with sleep, there’s great meditations for anxiety on YouTube. They really relax me!

CBT therapy is motivated in helping you overcome/manage anxiety and panic medication can help as well. I think those are great 1st steps
