Panic attack symptoms caused by adrenaline

Posted , 6 users are following.

Whenever my body releases adrenaline, whether it be because of fear, excitement, or anything. I begin to experiment panic attack symptoms like chest pain, heavy breathing, heart palpitations and shaking. The chest pain sometimes stays for a while even after I've calmed down.

Is this a brain issue, a nervous system issue, or an adrenal gland issue? And what can be done to make this stop happening?

Hey, it is not an issue of sort it is just your body responding to the adrenaline! Some of us are more sensitive (me also being one!) and we come out in all of these physical sensations! My panic attacks genuinely leave me feeling that it is the end of my life and I am either suffering heart attack or stroke. Most of the time I am suffering some kind of "anxiety attack" where I will be shaky, jittery, sweaty, feel off in myself but when the full blown panic attack hits it becomes something so different and awful!

Is there anything that can calm my system, and prevent these reactions from happening? It wasn't always like this, it started about 3 years ago.

I believe it's anxiety. Since you're here asking and heavily focused on it, your mind is sensitized, which created this rush and symptoms. My advice would be to accept these feelings in the background. Don't add the second fear of why this and that. Let the symptoms come on and continue doing what you are doing. To desensitize, we have to accept that it's there and we will be fine after it's over. The less we worry about finding answers and actually move forward that we need to accept it, the faster we can desensitize. I am on the same boat. Acceptance will take time. It will take alot of practice. Don't worry about trying to bring it on, just don't fear it when it does come.

I feel it's involuntary though, like something can suddenly startle me or excite me and these symptoms will happen on their own.
