HI All, Im a 33 year old Male

For the past two years or so I have been having panic attacks daily, it all started after work one night when I was smoking a little pot trying to unwind and all of a sudden my heart rate went to almost 200 BPM and I couldn't get a deep breath. I called a ambulance and called my neighbor to come up and sit with me until it arrived just in case I lost consciousness, I thought it could have possibly just been a bad batch or something and I have gotten pot from our state run dispensary with the same issue, I have since quit but the daily panic attacks remain a problem, I've noticed alot of times its after I drink my morning coffee or eat anything, it doesn't seem to matter if it's a small snack or large meal. My chest gets tight, I get light headed, can't get a deep breath and It feels like my brain is trying to shut off or something.

I have been to the ER, a Urgent care 2 different Family Doctors and a Neurologist,

they have done EKG,s , every Blood test they could think of and I've worn a heart monitor for a few days, all test came back normal, my Family doctor diagnosed me with a Mild to Severe Anxiety Disorder and prescribed Prozac first but there where side effects that I couldn't deal with so she changed it to another class of drug but that doesn't seem to be working either, when I take them I get dizzy for 20-30 minutes but still get panic attacks, I'm really Frustrated with this and I don't know what to do anymore, any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

have you ever considered speaking with a therapist who could help you deal with this? Maybe something like cognitive behavioral therapy could help deal with the panic attacks. try to avoid caffeine, sugar, junk food , soda, alcohol.

check out YouTube for some great talks on panic attacks as well as meditations that will talk you through it.

hope you are able to get some support for this. Take care

i am surprised that your gp prescribed you prozac for panic attacks generally doctors prescribe clonazepam for short term to get relief for panic attacks and ssri on the side for the long term you feel better maybe after one or so .

how much prozac are you taking?
