My health anxiety is driving me crazy! Does anyone get triggered by their own heart rate that it turns in a panic attack with heart palpitation for more than an hour?

absolutely! Rapid heart rate is very common with anxiety and the best thing is that it is not harmful. It’s caused by a release of adrenaline. i’ve had anxiety since childhood. I’ve learned a few things about it. and yes, I’ve had palpitations for much longer than an hour before I learned how to settle it all down.

First of all, you will always have the palpitations if you allow yourself to be triggered by them. that’s because when you get scared about the palpitations you are telling your brain that something is wrong. So it’s going to send out the adrenaline to prepare you for fight or flight.

The best thing you can do is learn proper breathing for the palpitations and that will lower the heart rate. And you will feel more relaxed.

Don’t focus on the palpitations. Focus on your breathing.

If you need help with that get on YouTube and look for breathing for panic . there are many to choose from just try some. you have to keep in mind that everything is OK, the palpitations are not harmful and you can take steps to relax the heart rate. I hope you feel better soon!
