PanOptix

Hi,

I had PanOptix put in 2 weeks ago at age 58, mainly to get rid of my glasses which i only needed for distance vision, also for just very mild cataract. Beside the halos which are terrible at night I see a slight shadow of words and numbers, anybody else has this and is there a chance of this going away.

In one of my eyes I see a slight shadow to the right side of letters. I have a monofocal Clareon, not the PanOptix. I blame it on residual astigmatism.

I think what you are describing is a result of how the "tri-focal" lenses work. The lenses have multiple foci (far, intermediate, and near) at the same time. You brain will learn to ignore the unwanted images through a process of "neural adaptation". So yes, they should go away.

I have PanOptix and noticed the same thing early on but it's no longer an issue for me.

From what l read the panoptix trifocal is a lens you need to take time for your brain to adjust to , unlike a monofocal.

Almost 3 months. Night vision horrible and now rainbows on reflective signs during the day. Still blurry double shadow vision. Yesterday new problem. Big "floater type object" that doesn't float -- it moves in conjunction with my eye. i will definitely not get Panoptix in dominant eye. Still not ready to do that eye until they can do something to fix this eye first.
