this is most likely herpes. it reoccurs that's what gives it away. i have the same tears that are called fissures at the moment. i was recently swabbed for herpes and my doctor is convinced that's what i have. herpes has triggers and yours seems to be your hormone levels around your period. Herpes sores burn when you urinate as you have described. It is rare that it forms as a fissure and not the typical blister. you should get swabbed for herpes within two days of your next break out. the longer you wait to swab this the less accurate the test will be. there is also blood tests for herpes but they're not as accurate either. herpes isn't curable but there is medication that can help lessen your breakouts. that would help you not have this every period! i felt like the world was ending when my doctor told me i could have herpes but I'm finding it really isn't. Keep your head up and go get tested.

Hello, thank you for your response. I'm terrified of it possibly being herpes. Were your results negative or positive?

My results were inconclusive. This means that they didn't find the herpes virus in my swab. Unfortunately, I was not swabbed when my outbreak was fresh so it is still open to debate whether I have the disease or not. However, the cuts have already healed whether that's due to the herpes medication I'm not sure because it seems far too fast. My fissures also did not scab over like a typical herpes outbreak does, they've just completely disappeared. I will get a blood test down the road. Hopefully, it isn't herpes but only time will tell between the blood test or getting more breakouts.

Hey, i know its been a while since you commented here, but did you ever get any kind of answer? It sounds to me like you might possibly have a skin disease called Lichen Sclerosis. Everything ive seen you mention, is exactly what i have with my Lichens. Worth looking into at least if you never got answers.

Hi, fissures can also be caused by yeast, skin disorders or hormone imbalance which make sense with your timeline. Herpes is another possible diagnosis but the only way to know is to get swabbed.
