i have had this horrible virus which i am not sure if its going round or its just myself which has been very unlucky and i have got.

still feeling pretty achy tho, been to doctors they have said to keep on top of paracetamol and ibuprofen, and keep hydrated.

i am just wondering when it comes to taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, can i take 1 lot of two tablets of paracetamol, followed by the same dose straight after of ibuprofen.

i am hardly ever ill.

thanks in advance for your replies.

I would rotate the 2 meds, the tylenol then the ibuprofen 2 hours later during waking hours. Make sure tylenol no sooner than every 4hours and ibuprofen no sooner than every 6 hours. Eat a few bites if you get stomach upset especially the ibuprofen

      hello Jessmess,

thanks for your message and apologies for the late reply.

i take it tylenol is a type of brand of paracetamol ?

never heard of it before .

so is it crucial to eat while taking ibuprofen, as i didnt while i took them.

also thought you could take them after a bit of time after taking paracetamol as long as you didn't exceed dose ..? 😃

Yes it's the same that's what it's called in the US. And you really should take the ibuprofen with a bit of food especially if you're going to use it regularly, as you increase your risk for gastric bleeding. Even with food theres a risk. I wouldn't do them at the exact same time again since you're using regularly, if it was every now again it wouldn't matter so much. I hope you feel better!

so if i am using regular what time space would you give between paracetamol??

luckily i am a little better now even tho i am feeling really tired in mornings and still don't feel 100% .... :L

It should be no sooner than every 4 hours, 1000mg at a time, max 4000mg in 24hrs. Is it helping you? Honestly of you're starting to feel better I would try going without as it can damage your liver. Just keep up your fluids, proteins, and healthy fats. Keep me updated!

      Hello Jessmess,

      thanks for clarifying that. 😃

i do seem to be a little better now, so haven't took any paracetamol, or ibuprofen.

my fluids intake seems to be okay i would say, but my protein intake seems to be rather poor i would say.

doesn't help i am a fussy eater, don't like eggs, chicken thats fatty.....
