Parkinson's Disease

J was diagnosed with Parkinson's just over 5 years ago, nut I feel I have been very fortunate so far. Tremors on my right side have been kept under control, and although there are days that are worse than other,on the whole I am prettty good. My balance is not too good and getting up from sitting can be troublesome at times. The other thing that is a bit of a nuisance is I seem to fall asleep in the middle of eating, or sometimes while I am in the middle of a conversation.
This can be quite smbarrsing, although I am only asleep for somwtimes only a nano second, but I then start talking again, but it has nothing to do with what was being discussed previously, and while I am trying to wrack my braims to remember what I was talking about, I just ramble on about absolut3ly nothing that has any aonnection. Fortunately, the majority of our friends and family, know that this situation only lasts for a short while, and we can laugh about it later. I do find it quite refreshing that we can laugh at these situations, because it makes me realise that friends and family are not too daunted by my actions.
There is one other symptom that I have noticed is getting worse, is being in crowds, when we go shopping I prefer to avoid busy shop, as I feel quite panicky when I lose track of my husband, and if someone walks into me or knocks me I sort of freeze, but get frightened. Thankfully, because we tend to avoid getting into these situations.
So all in all, I am lucky so far, as I know how dibilitating thise awful disease can be when it progresses, how long it will be before I deteriorate I don't know, but I do know with the help and support from the Parkinson's team that monitor me, my GP who takes an interest in me on a regular basis, and most of all my family and friends who are so supportive, I can manage this and hopefully it will be some time before I worsen. So all I can say is, if you are reading this because you have Parkinson's or you know someone who does, tyr to be positive, do all you can while you can, and just thank God, you are still alive.[color=indigo:32dbfa7524][/color:32dbfa7524] :D [/b]

Your falling asleep in the middle of doing something is called, Sudden Sleep Onset sessions. I myself was quite prone to it. Please read my experience \"My Parkinson's and Mangosteen capsule\". The main thing is your outlook in life which is positive. Take it from me, Life is beautiful, Parkinson's or no Parkinson's.

I am new to website. I am sorry you have Parkinson's disease but I do admire your brave, positive attitude. Hopefully, you will keep that as time passes.
my husband has the disease and it is hard for him too. He must have had it for about twenty years. It is harder now but he is still able to do some things. He has been diagnosed with on set dementia and is quite upset by this. He isnt
