Hi all I’ve been back on paroxatine now for nearly 4wks and still feeling really awfull. Still feeling really anxious, shaky and heart palpitations my legs are like jelly and all I want to do is lay in my bed. Does this sound normal after being back on it for 4wks. Any advice or reassurance please

    Morning Debra

You’ve been posting for a while now. Do you live with someone? I live alone and still am trying to recover from my breakdown in December 2017. I’ve been forced to try to do a little bit as there is no one else in the house to do it for me. It’s really tough to feel this awful as I know. Just give yourself time and praise if you manage something small. Made a cup of tea? 👍👍 to yourself.

    It all takes time.

Thanks eve for ure reply. I am on my own most of the time but I have a partner who works. Do you think these are the side effects trying to get back in my system, as I feel really jittery and shaky, I still have to take sleeping tablets aswell. Otherwise I can’t sleep. But I get that shock feeling in my heart and it wakes me up. And it really scares me to the point I can’t get back to sleep. X

I know that health anxiety can be disabling. I have tinnitus and now a dry mouth with setraline. I’ve now become very anxious about that and my teeth feel all wrong. So weird, ☹️. I force myself to go out for at least a little while each day. Focusing on symptoms produces more anxiety for me. I’m seeing a hypnotherapist and also a homeopath. Don’t be afraid to try something like this as it’s helping me.

Savings are going down but what the heck. You MUST try to give yourself a tiny goal each day. Good luck.

Hi eve did u ever have the shakes? And feeling jittery. How do u manage to get to sleep? Are you taking anything to help you x

I’m on 50mg setraline which has helped with depression but I still get very anxious. The side effects of dry mouth are horrible but I dare not stop taking them. The homeopath has given me a remedy to try to help with panics. It’s all very challenging and some days are better than others.

I had dreadful shakes to start with, couldn’t eat and couldn’t sleep. Tremors have gone now thank goodness. I force myself out for a walk or to do something so I am really tired. I can sleep now and don’t take anything to help. Try a little walk and perhaps meet a friend. Being isolated causes us to focus even more on our horrible symptoms.
