part of my breast (I think the glands) is firmer than the other, not sure if I should be worried?

I'm in my late 20s and have noticed part of my right breast (my mom is a nurse and she says it's the mammary glands, the firmer part beneath the fat of my breast) is slightly firmer and larger than that of my left breast. They are the exact same size, it just seems that compositionally they are different - my left breast has more soft fat and my right breast has more of the firm part. I am honestly not sure if this is a new development, but I have only just noticed it. I'm waiting on a call back to make a doctor's appointment, but I'm just wondering if I need to be worried.

No changes in appearance, size, or pain (well, now it hurts somewhat, but I can tell it's only because I've been poking at it so much)
