Partial tear gluteus medius and full tear G minimus, do I need operation

Hi i have a full rear in my gluteus minimus and partial tear in gluteus medius, having physio at the moment but thinking i am going to need an op. im 70 years old and have been reasonably fit up until this happened. was wondering if anyone else has had this op and what was the outcome? Also can anyone recommend a hood surgeon for this op. I live in Melbourne
