Hi. This is a long journey and don't let anyone say a partial is any different to a total in the recovery stages. I am sorry you are having a low sad day. If it helps to know you are not alone, I too am today seen weeks past a partial knee replacement and am feeling exactly the same sharp stabbing pains around my scar. This is my second PKR the first one ten months ago, I wish I had diarised the whole process last time. But, I do remember something very similar happening. It does mean you are healing, it is the nerves coming to life! Often a horrible very painful feeling. Try massaging the area, I find this helps a little. Or numb it with lidocaine gel in th night.
It does get better, it just takes time, even though it sucks! Good luck in your recovery.

This is a slow, hard journey and I feel certain we will emerge on the other side feeling better. But, holy cow, it’s a painful one. Stay strong and hang in there!

I had that after my PKR at about 7 weeks. I think it's the nerves all knitting back together. I'm 13 weeks now and that's dissapeared. I am having a low day too. Struggling with hip and groin pain which aggravating the knee. We will get there, just takes a long time 😢

Hang in there it gets better I promise . I am almost two years PO PKR. I did not turn a major corner until around 8-10 weeks . Prior to that if I did too much I swelled and then just iced and iced and iced and rested . I also would suddenly have weird random pains that concerned . I just rested and iced as often as i could . Eventually it all leveled out .
Even now if I overdo it I have issues .
It is a long winding road but well worth it compared to where I was prior .
